Shades of Green is the first project profile in a series that Raytheon will publish throughout the month of November.
For the last three years, hundreds of active and retired soldiers and their families have gathered for breakfast with Mickey, Minnie, Belle, Cinderella and other Disney characters at Walt Disney World’s Shades of Green Resort®. The resort is open exclusively for active and retired military personnel and their families, as well as Department of Defense civilians. In honor of those who serve our country, the breakfasts celebrate patriotism and the partnership between Raytheon and Shades of Green. The result: smiles, photos and laughter at the happiest place on earth®.
'I just wanted to take a second to tell you how much I appreciate all you guys did for me and my family.' - Guest at Shades of Green
In 2012, the company renewed its sponsorship of the Raytheon Wounded Warrior Suite at Shades of Green — a 1,200-square-foot, Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant suite that can accommodate up to 10 adults and four children. The company’s relationship with Shades of Green began in 2009 with the donation of The Family Technology Center, a game room for the guests’ “home away from home.”
Raytheon’s continued financial support for Shades of Green and the Wounded Warrior Suite is a small token of the company’s appreciation to these men, women and their families, who have given so much to our nation.
